Friends of the Poor® Walk
Satuday, September 26th
Each year, local members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul host the Friends of the Poor® Walk--an event that raises funds and awareness for the Society’s work serving people living in poverty.
Since 2008, the FOP Walk® has raised more than $27 million for those in need across the country. The funds raised through St. Catherine of Siena’s Conference stay within our community to help our neighbors.

Walker registration starts at 8:30 a.m. in front of St. Catherine of Siena Church (845 W. Main St. West Dundee) on Sat., Sept. 26th

The Walk (1-2 miles) starts at 9:30 am. Click Here For The Map

Walkers are encouraged to collect donations from friends and family. Donations of any amount are welcome.

100% of donations from the Walk will benefit those in need within the parish boundaries of St. Catherine of Siena, including the towns of West Dundee and Sleepy Hollow, as well as parts of East Dundee, Carpentersville, and Gilberts.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul helps neighbors of all faiths and those of no faith at all.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL FRIENDS OF THE POOR® WALK/RUN
The Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run began as a national program with the purpose of providing local Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Conferences and Councils the additional funds to help support their special works projects. Today, that philosophy continues, with Conferences and Councils using the funds from this event to help people living in poverty.
